相信大家從以前到現在看過無數跟機器人有關的電影電視或小說. 但你們認為機器人是什麼呢? 人類真的會想要創造出機器人嗎?
現在有很多研究機構跟公司都嘗試著要製造出機器人, 雖然我不知道他們真正的目的是什麼 (減輕人類工作, 當軍人使用, 當玩具, 當傭人, etc), 但是我覺得很有趣, 為甚麼他們要製造機器人呢? 而機器人對他們來說又是什麼?
我個人認為, 到目前為止, 不管做的多精密, 現在人類科學所可以達到的, 都還只是停留在"機器"的階段. 要成為一個機器"人"有一點很重要的就是要有"情感" (情緒跟感情, 就像電影A.I.裡的). 在能達到那個境界之前, 都只能算是"電腦," "機器," 或是"很精密的計算機."
假設我們現在已經有能力製造機器人 (雖然我highly doubt在未來幾十年會發生), 人類真的會因此感到快樂嗎? 還是會產生恐懼? 有情緒的機器人, 會高興, 會憤怒, 會生氣, 會難過, 就跟真正的人類一樣. 等到有一天, 你分不出你是在跟機器人交談還是跟真正的人類交談時, 我覺得我會產生恐懼. 當它的思考能力跟真正的人類一樣, 它會不會要有自己的"人權." 如果機器人又比人類要強壯, 刀槍不入, 最後被統治的會是誰?
我想很多電影其實都在反應著有機器人的未來並不是人類所想的utopia (理想國). 相反地, 許多災難都是因機器人而發生. 我並不是在discourage科技的進步, 只是, 自己想想, 有感而發.
我為甚麼很懷疑會有機器人的產生呢? 因為我之前有看到一個quote, 也在我舊的部落格有提到, 就是
Any Universe simple enough to be understood is too simple to produce a mind able to understand it.
如果把上面這句話稍微改變一下, 其實就是,
一個系統, 如果簡單到可以被瞭解,
是太過於簡單而無法創造出可以瞭解它的系統.
更簡單來說, 受創者是無法瞭解創造者; 而創造者無法創造出可以瞭解它的產物 (這也是, 為什麼我們無法完全瞭解神的作為).

That said, we should always strive to advance as far as we can, rather than getting overly sentimental and staying stagnant, becoming hopelessly trapped in regressive & reactionary thinking.
Science, as with our other skills/abilities, exist so that the evelope can be further pushed…and then some. 不進則退.
We often do things…just because we CAN. That’s why we try to build the tallest buildings, largest ships, longest bridges, etc.
There is NOTHING wrong with such ambitions. We are made to glorify. It just happens that we often enjoy glorifying our own toys a little too much, rather than the one who deserves it all :P
absolutely, there’s nothing wrong with having dreams and ambitions.
and i dont have any objection against creaing more intelligent machine than that crashing computers that we have now. have a robot that can help me clean my house, why not?!
